After a critically acclaimed 2014 FringeNYC production, The Pawnbroker was thrilled to be one of only eight productions selected to be part of the Fringe Encore Series - Solo in the City: Best of FringeNYC.

Katelin Wilcox (Playwright, Actor):

Katelin recently made her Lincoln Center debut in Out of Tune, as part of the Lincoln Center Originals series.  She spent a year as a company member at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, where she has appeared in eight productions including Pride and Prejudice and Cymbeline on the mainstage.  Other acting credits include Doubt (The Public Theatre of Maine), Comedy of Errors (Vermont Shakespeare Company), Island and King John (New York Shakespeare Exchange), realer than that (The CRY HAVOC Company), and Noises Off (Cohoes Music Hall).  Her work as a playwright has been produced at Lionheart Theatre Company, Ithaca College Underground, the United Solo Festival, and CRY HAVOC.  Katelin is a member of Actors' Equity, a Resident Artist with CRY HAVOC, and holds a BA in theater and economics from the University of Notre Dame.  www.katelinwilcox.com

 

Jennifer Curfman (Director): 

Jennifer is a Resident Artist and Associate Artistic Director of The CRY HAVOC Company.  She directed the world premier of Peace, Love, and Cupcakes, The Musical (Vital Theatre) which reopened this summer for an extended run in NYC.  Other directing credits include Party Girl and Good Enough by Kitt Lavoie, Caught by Sharon E. Cooper, and (One) Acts of Havoc at Manhattan Rep.  Associate Directing credits include Romeo and Juliet, Kitt Lavoie, Dir. (CRY HAVOC), and the concert staging of Bros and Dolls, Matt Cowart, Dir., (Joe's Pub).  Acting credits include NYC Opera (NYC premier of Dead Man Walking, Leonard Foglia, Dir.), Great Lakes Theatre Festival, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Phoenix Theatre Ensemble, and the New York Philharmonic (Stephen Sondheim's 80th Birthday Concert, Lonny Price, Dir.).  Jennifer is a member of Actors' Equity and holds a BFA from NYU.

 

Chris Comfort (Sound Design):

Chris is a composer, producer, performer, and sound designer.  He has been performing and writing for over 20 years with artists including Unisex Salon, Thebe, and Stephanie Lynn.  Chris's composition and sound design credits include the plays The Eyes of Babylon, Dear Dad, Confessions of GoGo, the FringeNYC production of the Kinematic Dance Company, and the films Rainbow Rabbit Reliant and Last Chance.  His recent stage work has included playing the title role in The Cooking King, as well as six different roles in Kristy Hasen's Business.  He has appeared in Guiding Light, Damages, the web series Velvet Moon Chronicles, and as the lead in the independent short film Dirty Laundry.  Over the years, Chris has been seen in numerous regional, national, and international commercials.  Chris is a Resident Artist with The CRY HAVOC Company.  www.chriscomfortmusic.com
